Sustainable Buildings, Cities and Communities
The main objective of our EELISA Community “Sustainable Buildings, Cities, and Communities” is to foster a multidisciplinary ecosystem that brings together professors, researchers, companies, professionals, and civil and social associations under a large international umbrella. SusBCC facilitates transversal collaboration by addressing technical and social challenges. By educating students, SusBCC accelerates the transition to energy efficient, socially, economically, and environmentally sustainable buildings, cities, and communities. Members of the SusBCC not only develop and offer several educational activities, but also collaborate between universities on research activities with great impact on society and in the scientific community to ultimately develop solutions related to sustainability. Within this context, several universities, companies, and other organisms, as well as large facilities such as the GESLAB (Global Energy and Sustainable Laboratory in Buildings) or the IURLAB (Integrated Urban Regeneration Living-Lab), are involved in the EELISA Community.
