Interdisciplinary Community for Social Justice (ICSJ)
ICSJ takes as its premise the centrality of social, political and ethical dimensions towards science and engineering education and research. Rather than approaching societal aspects of science and technology as an addendum, we highlight the constitutive role (and not merely the supplementary role) of social, historical, political and ethical factors towards science and engineering. Through the activities of our community, we raise awareness of this fact and promote interdisciplinary collaboration and foster interinstitutional networks by bringing together academics and students from different disciplines as well as non-academic partners to develop solutions for societal and global problems through a commitment to ecological and post-anthropocentric humanitarian principles as envisioned by the SDG.
